DESCRIPTIONS
Boss couplings supply a convenient way of connecting two lengths of hoses together or to threaded outlets. They are an all purpose hose couplings recommended for steam hose connections, also widely used for air, water, fluid petroleum chemicals and liquid gas up to 1″ID. Boss couplings are available in positive metal to polymer seal or washer seal.
Materials:
Available in plated steel and/or malleable iron, brass or 316 stainless steel.
Working Pressure:
Air Service: 1/4″ to 2″ (600 psi), 2.5″ to 3″ (450 psi), 4″ and 6″ (250 psi)
Water Service: 1/4″ to 2″ (600 psi), 2.5″ to 3″ (450 psi), 4″ and 6″ (250 psi)
Steam Service: 250 psi
Caution:
Worn-out hose couplings can be dangerous. They should be checked regularly and replace when necessary.
